CGFM Scholarship

The Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) is a professional certification recognizing the unique skills required of today’s government financial managers. There are three comprehensive examinations that make up the core requirement of the CGFM program: Government Environment; Governmental Accounting, Financial Reporting and Budgeting; and Government Financial Management and Control.

SCHOLARSHIP TYPE AND ELIGIBILITY:

The Central Arkansas AGA Chapter is pleased to offer TWO $240 CGFM scholarships to go towards examination fees and preparation materials. The scholarship will cover approximately half the cost of the CGFM application and examination fees. A maximum of two CGFM scholarships will be awarded each fiscal year.

DEADLINE:

Scholarships will be awarded to the first two qualified and complete applications received. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications must be received no later than May 31.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Active Central Arkansas AGA member in good standing
Must be employed as a governmental accountant
Must pass all three parts of the exam prior to application submission
The third and final exam must be passed within this fiscal year
The exam and application test fees must be incurred and paid by the applicant.

AWARDS:

Selected winners will be notified via email and presented with the check at the annual Central Arkansas AGA awards banquet in June.
